Adapted from 'Favorite Flies and their Histories', Mary Orvis Marbury (1892). Marbury managed the fly-tying department of the Orvis Company, a business founded by her father in 1856 to supply equipment to anglers. Her book contains nearly 300 fly patterns and set the standard for fly-tying across America.
